The makers of the social robot Milo have teamed up with Losey Brothers EdTech Consultants and Hamilton County ESC to serve the growing number of students with autism
(Cincinnati, OHIO) June 7, 2018 — RoboKind, the creators of robots4autism and Milo, a facially expressive humanoid robot, today announced a new partnership with Losey Brothers EdTech Consultants, who will bring RoboKind solutions and services to schools and districts throughout Ohio and surrounding states, and Hamilton County ESC (Educational Service Center), who will serve as the exclusive service and training provider in Ohio.
The CDC recently announced the number of students identified as on the autism spectrum is dramatically rising, changing their statistic from 1 in 68 to 1 in 58 children being on the spectrum. Working to support this growing number of students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), RoboKind has developed Milo, a facially expressive, social robot. Along with the accompanying robots4autism curriculum, Milo helps students on the spectrum learn to self-regulate, to greet people appropriately, and to navigate social interactions.
